Restoring Responsibility

The Program
North American Restoration Dry Cleaners have implemented a community service driven program with the help of the Salvation Army to responsibly handle clothing and other soft good items that an insured no longer has use for and is of no value to them. Our program is designed to involve the insured in the donation process by identifying items to be donated, they are then itemized, removed from the home, cleaned at no expense to the insurance company, and donated in the name of the insured to the Salvation Army. A SIMPLE but POWERFUL program, a WIN ,WIN, WIN!

The insurance company WINS, saving money by not cleaning unwanted items.  The insured WINS by receiving a taxable donation receipt.  And the community WINS, with the opportunity to help feed and clothe those that are less fortunate.

The Purpose
• To provide charitable service to the community
• To save the insurance company money by not cleaning unwanted items
• To establish North American Restoration Dry Cleaners as Responsible Restoration Dry Cleaning companies desiring to do what is RIGHT!

How Does it Work?
For the Insured:
• Upon arrival to the home, the program is explained to the insured.  Upon acceptance of the program the insured is asked to sign a simple donation agreement form
• The North American Restoration Dry Cleaner  then separates the donated, non-chargeable items from those items to be cleaned.
• The insured is provided a receipt acknowledging their donation for tax purposes.
For the Adjuster:
• A scope of loss letter is provided showing total savings to the insurance company

The Process
• Donated items are divided and handled separately
• Donated items are removed from the insured’s home
• Insurance company is provided a detailed itemization with savings shown
• Donated items are processed and cleaned
• Dry Cleaner delivers the donated items directly to the Salvation Army
